Food fest and Onam sale

In connection with the Onam celebrations, students from few departments arranged stalls in the College auditorium. It was real fun.. We too put up a stall, whose main attraction was-- Kappa-chutney, egg khajab, sambharam, payasam, fruit salad,etc.... other small handmade accesories were also sold.
It was an opening to marketing and enterprising skills among students .. We had 18 of them actively participating in it and we had an income of 425 rupees generated. ... Specials thanks to the College Union for such an oppurtunity!

Caption Meeee!!!!

A Caption Contest was held.... It was open to the entire College community in which we had 19 participants. It was based on the matter put up on the notice board (Zoology-Health)...
Anaswara Sajeev of #3rd BSc. Zoology came up with a cute caption and bagged the prize.

Slogan writing competition

A slogan writing competion was conducted by the Zoology association in connection with the Environment Day on June 5, 2018, in which 13 participated. Prizes were distributed to the winners. Vismaya P.R bagged the first prize. Prizes were distributed to the first three.

Onam celebration

The Onam celebs started off with a prayer song and was formally inaugurated by Gismon Sir and his sweet little daughter. We had a colourful onam celebration with melodious songs, dance, lively games and wonderful onasadhya with two payasams served ( Gothambu and palada).....

Poster presentation

The open course students of Zoology department in collaboration with the health club arranged a poster presentation on the health issues and health prevention initiatives in Kerala, in which all 18 students participated.

Mangalavanam.....

The dream destination....

Mangalavanam is an ecologically sensitive area situated at the centre of the Indian city of Kochi. Covering about 2.74 hectares,it also houses a shallow tidal lake connected with Kochi backwaters by a canal. It is situated behind the Kerala High Court building. It is a nesting ground for a large variety of migratory birds and supports many types of mangroves. The Managalavanam is often regarded as the "green lung of Kochi", considering its role in keeping the city's air pollution under check. The area is a roosting place for many kinds of resident and migratory birds.
Finally on the third year degree students (12) made the dream trip possible on July 8, 2017
