Drinking tea has several health benefits. It might be because of these benefits there is a tea day tooo
1. Tea contains antioxidants-Antioxidants work to prevent the body’s version of rust and thus help to keep us young and protect us from damage from pollution.
2. Tea has less caffeine than coffee- That means you can consume it without those pesky effects on your nervous system.

3. Tea may reduce your risk of heart attack and stroke-Those who drank four or more cups of green tea daily had a 32 percent reduction in the risk of having a heart attack and lower levels of LDL cholesterol.

6. Tea may keep your smile bright-Japanese researchers have found that tea can decrease tooth loss. It changes the pH in your mouth when you drink it and that may be what prevents cavities.

The Department of Zoology of the Marthoma College for Women, Perumbavoor also participated in the "Haritha Keralam" initiative of the Kerala state. World AIDS day observance

Today's programme was the result a great team work. Hats off to all the students and teachers of the department. It being a season of exams and tensions, we all for got that today is Dec 1st. It was during the first hour of class that we realised this truth.....
Now what to do...??? There no time...!! But we together planned and executed it.

The distribution of red ribbons which was brought and prepared instantaneously. This was followed by an awareness video show in the Zoology lab to which the entire college community was welcomed. The Principal, several teachers and students attended the show and benefitted from it...
