AIDS day

The day was observe by distributing red ribbons to staff and students. It was inaugurated by the Principal.
AIDS Awareness cards was given to departments to generate an awareness.

Mini exhibition

 In connection with science week celebration a one day exhibition was organised by the dept in which we had 102 students.

 

Dental camp

A free dental checkup camp was organised by Zoology association in collaboration with St. Gregorio dental college on November 18,2020. The camp service was benefitted by staff, students and people from the neighborhood. More than 100 checkups were done and reports given

Health Institute Visit

As part of study, the open course students were taken to the Government Taluk Hospital, Perumbavoor on the  27 of September 2019. They had a great time interacting with the community service officials.

Association Inauguration & Freshers

The Association marked its official start after the admission of the first years was closed. It was followed by the most awaited freshers day.... In which Miss zoology was selected from among the zoologians

Food fest

In connection with the College Union and arts club inauguration, the Union organised a food fest in which the department , particularly 15 students participately actively. "nissaram".....a great attempt by the zoology students wherein they could generate 250 rupees.

Eye Health Campaign

In Collaboration with the Govt. Taluk Hospital Perumbavoor, seminar and quiz was conducted as part of the eye health awareness week. 38 students participated.

·         The department of Zoology in collaboration with the Govt. Taluk Hospital Perumbavoor conducted a quiz was conducted in which Fathima Fairooz of 1^st MSc Zoology and Parvathy Salinkumar of 2^nd BSc. Zoology bagged 1^st and 2^nd positions.

The department (61 students and 8 staff) contributed generously (Rs.8500) to the recent floods...

Kitchen garden Dream 2019

The "kitchen garden Dream" was launched on 28 June 2019. Students were motivated to start kitchen garden in their homes thereby increasing self sustainability. 37 students of the Ug program committed to starting one at home.

OATH taking - environment

 Oath was taken on 20 June 2019 to safeguard the biodiversity of our land. Instead of planting saplings the department made a decision to take good care of it

he already planted trees and plants. 82 students of the department took the oath
